I had a gal who asked me at a networking event whether the ONE Group products were pH balanced. I thought that they were but did not want to speak out of turn, just in case. So emailed Narelle; she replied very quickly and here is what she had to say:
*****************************************************************************
The ingredients we use in our products are not chemically altered in any way, nor are they required to be pH ‘balanced’. Ingredients that required pH balancing need to have acidic or alkaline substances added to them to make them more compatible with human skin.
Our ingredients are perfect for human skin, just the way they come – straight from Mother Nature!

Narelle

Promoting ONE Group Products
I am curious as to what other ONE Group reps are doing in regard to promotions to encourage sales/new customers. Are you having success with a particular promotion? Do you have a creative idea on promoting a product? If so, please share it with us!

Miessence Liquid Hand Soap
If you have not tried the Miessence hand soap you really should! What a huge difference from other liquid hand soaps. The lather is so creamy and rich. I use the body cream right after washing with the liquid soap and my hands feel amazing! I live in the desert and on top of that the chlorine level in the water here is brutal. Washing your hands tends to leave them irritated and itchy. I am just sorry I did not try the liquid hand soap sooner. Marketing tip: if you know someone who works in a profession that washes their hands frequently during the day, this is definitely a product to highly recommend!

Question on Mineral Makup
I have used the Bare Essentuals line of mineral makeup for quite some time now. I want to start to use the Miessence mineral makeup but have a question regarding concealer. I enjoy the mineral makeup powder products, don't like messing with liquid and sponges. Find the powder works best for me. With the Bare Essentuals line they have a powder concealer to go along with the powder makeup line. I noticed that the ONE Group line only offers what looks to be a creamy, soft type of concealer that you pat on, not a powder concealer. My question is: has anyone tried using the foundation powder in a slightly lighter shade as a concealer? What about the translucent powder, could that be used as a concealer? I plan to order some of the mineral makeup products this month so any advice or feedback you can offer that would help me with the order would be greatly appreciated!
Say No to Nano in Cosmetics
While industry and government officials debate the safety of nanotech, EWG analysts have already moved forward to identify 256 popular products where nanomaterials are listed as ingredients. Products include eye liner, moisturizer, bronzer, lip balm and sunscreen.
Take action now to urge the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to request that nanomaterials be clearly identified and assessed for safety before they are used in personal care products.
Why should you care? Nanomaterials are super-tiny manmade chemicals that may pose extraordinary and unpredictable risks to public health. The FDA is concerned about these micro-sized ingredients because their toxicity may be very different, and potentially more severe than normal-sized chemical ingredients.
The cosmetics industry is slowly adding more nanomaterials to personal care products, even though none of the nanomaterials found on product labels in Skin Deep have been assessed for safety.
Chemicals in your cosmetics = chemicals in you
Are you curious about the chemicals in your body? EWG, in partnership with Stanford University, is conducting a scientific study to test young women age 14-19 for chemicals found in many cosmetics and personal care products. If you're interested in participating, or know someone who might be, contact Becky Sutton at 866-222-7059 x304 to find out more about this study.

Alpha-Hydroxy
I received an email from one of my Preferred Customers today asking if she should continue her use of alpha-hydroxy as she believes it is the key to looking young.
My reply to her was that the number one cause of skin aging is the sun and AHA's (alpha-hydroxy acids) remove that top layer of skin that is the protective barrier against UVA/UVB rays.
I have emailed Narelle for more information on why people should not use AHA's and will post her reply here. In the meantime, does anyone have information or advice on why we should avoid or use AHA's?
Thanks!
